Notice of Rate Increase
Due to costs continuing to increase throughout the water and wastewater industries, as well as the continued infrastructure repairs and updates required to our aging water and wastewater systems, to keep compliant with NDWEE (Nebraska Department of Water Energy and Environment) guidelines, it is necessary to raise rates to help offset those costs.
Rate adjustments are based on a cost-of-service analysis conducted by Nebraska Rural Water Association to ensure each customer pays a proportionate share of the costs.
The cost-of-service analysis takes expenses compared to income and uses that to calculate what the rate should be to cover expenses.
Below are the new rates effective October 1, 2026 for the November utility bill.
NOTE: sewer rates are based on average water used during December, January and February.
Check for dripping faucets, leaking toilets and running water softeners. Fix any leaks NOW before they cause an unnecessary rate increase.
